For the most part, we're here to sell you some great CD's, and, to an only slightly lesser extent, to preach the gospel of Skuntry. But, if you're looking for a more grandiose idea of what we're up to, well, we've got one: Take a rough around the edges, inherently do-it-yourself artistic philosophy and apply an equally sloppy and homespun distribution mechanism like the Internet and voila! Thus was born Skuntry.com. When we're not gagging on the tongues that have firmly lodged themselves in our cheeks, we'll attempt, via this website, to tell you all you need to know about Skuntry - the aesthetic, the way of life, what foods complement it, and, most importantly, how to get a hold of those wonderful lost (or as yet unborn) recordings of Skuntry music that have been committed to tape and (gasp!) DAT since Skuntry's official birth in 1989. The brains, brawn, and not very much cash behind Skuntry.com are founding members of the St. Louis-based band, Enormous Richard, which later bacame Eleanor Roosevelt and ultimately Three Fried Men. Beyond our humble efforts to finally widely release the works of ER and friends, however, Skuntry.com also aims to be the publishing and distribution arm of our ongoing field recording project, Hoobellatoo, which focuses on the likes of African drummers and Merchant Marine songsters.

While Skuntry may be a universal constant, Skuntry.com is changing and growing all the time. Check back often and snoop around - most pages will indicate when they've been last modified so you can stay apprised of changes as they happen.
