The Lost Rock Band Collection You will have noticed that it is not always the good rock bands that permeate mass consciousness. Sometimes the best disband young, unknown, unloved, and their songs languish unheard on crumbling tapes or in boxes of shrink-wrapped CDs tucked in a corner of the drummer's basement next to his dusty drumset. As members of a former traveling band with love affairs in many towns with indie bands that never made it bigger than headlining on a Friday night in the hippest local dive before breaking up, we are archivists of Lost Rock Bands, and this is our collection. We do not gather here to mourn the departed, or to protest an irrational and unethical music industry. We come to listen, and love.
